Moldy Bathroom in Morristown
As our SERVPRO AMRT applied microbial remediation technician (a crew leader) inspected this bathroom in a Morristown home, it became more apparent the extent of the infestation. The compromised grout allowed the seepage of water into the walls and a controlled demolition was the only option for mold remediation. The After Photo depicts the exposed wood after being sprayed with an antifungal agent. We set up a containment barrier during the demo to prevent the dust and mold spores from circulating to the unaffected rooms of the residence. Poor ventilation and seals are often the culprits that invite mold damage in bathrooms. The bathtub corner is now ready for green board hanging and tile setting, "Like it never even happened," but even better.
